Well, I made it to the conference and I'm currently in the hotel. I received my pre-registration and will be attending the dinner tonight. I'm really glad that I made the trip.
I will be posting on my blog news stories from the conference so check it out when you can! I hope to learn everything I can at the conference which starts tomorrow. Yipee!!!!

OMG! Information Overload
WOW, all I can say is WOW! Talk about a day where you get all your information at one place and meet new friends! (Hi Leslie who's on the boards!)
I had a great time at the EMW China Adoption Conference! I learned everything I could about SN and I was impressed beyond words. I met so many people and made friends there that are in the process, waiting, or just needing that extra boost of confidence about their decision to adopt! The day was packed with so much information that I wish I had my husband there to sit in the talks I didn't get to attend. Definately have the two of you! This was you get everything. I focused on SN and medical issues. I wasn't disappointed. The only thing I could complain about was the hotel. It was about 20 min. west of the BWI airport. The Sheraton believe it or not! No free wi-fi, $5 per bottle for water $2.50 for 20oz. soda, and thee rooms were $129 per night. Even HoJo's gives you free internet! Very disheartening. Just won't stay at Sheraton's anymore! Other than that the conference itself was top notch! They really know how to put on a conference and I think I may have made friends for life!

We went to East Meets West last year in Chicago and loved it. We learned so much and met lots of people.
We split up and went to different sessions so we could cover more ground. It was doubly important for us, because the day before we left to go to Chicago our agency called and told us they had a little boy on the SN list they thought was perfect for us. It so happened the Saturday morning breakfast speaker was a pediatrician who specializes in international adoption (and has 4 SN daughters from China). We got to talk to him afterward (missing the first session) and he reviewed our file and really eased our minds and answered a lot of our questions. Needless to say, that little boy is now our son, and we will always have fond memories of East Meets West. Kevin
