Paying it forward
It's strange how much connected we can feel when we sponsor children.
I just got updated information on a child that Im sponsoring this year. He is the sweetest looking little baby boy. He was born in October 2007, and I feel strangely protective of him. I work in sales, and in order to double our points (eg: payout) for the month, we need to produce a minimum of certain products sold. There are around 5 combinations of items that we need to sell in order to double our end of the month pay outs. By mid month, I was having difficulty with one of the items. I ONLY needed one of these items for my bonus pay out to go from $300 to $1,100 for the month. I decided one morning to pay it forward, and sponsor another child from HTS. It's as easy as going to the website, and putting in your info. They can take a full payment of $300 or $25 a month directly from a credit card. To my astonishment, that morning, I sold 2 of the items that I needed only one of, and I ended the month with a total of 11 of those items. My pay out for February went from $300 to $2,100. There's definitely something to say about paying it forward. And the added plus for me, is that I'll get updated emails to watch this child grow with reports from his Ayi. Just an FYI, I had also requested a child from the same SWI that my first daughter was in. and that request was honored by HTS. If you're interested in sponsoring a child, you can go to Half the Sky and click on the link at the bottom of the page.

At Christmas time I gave a donation to Altrusa which works on the province dd was born in. With our donation they are able to assit with a hugging granny for the children still at her orphange. We received some photos and though I don't know which one we are assiting with it is good to know that those children still there are getting some extra special attention.

Investing in a child is a wonderful way to pay it forward. We sponsor a child through Love Without Boundries and love getting the updates.
