We've been matched!
As some of you are aware from a previous posting... DH and I requested a match with this little 10 month old cutie-pie...
Welp... we received our verbal approval yesterday!! YIPEE!  Assuming his picture is now my avatar -- I would like to introduce John Thomas Seong-ho (but you can call him Jack).  Our agency has a waiting child program that covers 9 or 10 different countries... Jack was on the list for Korea. We'll have to pull our China dossier and submit our papers to Korea (and request an age-limit waiver since DH just turned 45 in October). I don't know when it will sink in that we have a son... DH and I keep having to remind each other to breathe!  Lee LID for China 4/6/07 Requested match for Seong-ho 12/3/07

Lee, I was just coming over here to see if you had posted. As soon as I saw your post the other day that you had requested a match I look at the website to get a glimpse of him. I'm so happy for you!! How good does it feel to have his picture moved over to the matched section. I know how hard it was when the last batch of SN kids from China moved over to matched. It must feel wonderful to get to this point!!

Wow! Happy holidays and congratulations to you! BTW, how did your husband get an age waiver? My husband is in his mid 40's and we thought we couldnt adopt from Korea. Thanks very much and best wishes,

Amy,
We were worried about the age limits, too. When it comes to the SN children, though, some countries will waive certain requirements. Our case worker felt that because Jeff only recently hit the big 4-5 there shouldn't be an issue with getting the waiver. I'll keep you posted... Thanx, everyone, for the good wishes. p.s. -- we browsed through Walmart's baby section last night to get an idea what we're going to need... WOW! My head hasn't stopped spinning!

I've gotten such a kick out of Keira's antics on your blog site (and your running commentary is a hoot!)... thanks for sharing her.  And I was relieved to read that your home was safe from the CA fires!You're right... I'd forgotten we're with the same agency. BTW, I spoke with my caseworker today and found out Holt Intn'l has approved our match, as well, and will be forwarding their recommendations to Korea! Holt is the agency Jack register with.We think Jack will be @ 15 mos. when we go get him. I think I remember you writing that Keira was small for her age. Jack was a preemie, but at almost 10 mos. he weighs @ 18 lbs. According to the tags on the clothes at Babies-R-Us that puts him right in the weight range for 9-12 mos. Do U.S. sizes tend to run small? I'm just jones-ing to buying some outfits for him, but I had assumed he was little for his age... any suggestions? Thanx, Lee (in snowy Rochester, NY)
