nap question
Hi Everyone,
How do you know when your dd no longer needs a daily nap? My dd is 20 months old and within the last month or so, she has been waking up earlier and earlier from her nap. I am also noticing it is taking longer to get her to go to sleep at night when she does take a good nap(we have to stay in the room with her until she falls asleep, but that is another story!) Could she be out-growing her nap already!!???? Please say it isn't so...... sj |

Not what you want to hear but yes, it is possible. Try going without the nap and putting her to bed a little earlier.

I am no expert, but my child, at age 2, still needs a nice sized nap. If she doesnt get her nap, she's a monster. IF your kid can get through the day(and night) and be even tempered, I would bet that's one sign that they dont need to nap anymore.

My DD gave up her naps at 18 months. I think she still needed at least a small afternoon one. But there was no way to convince her of that. I just moved up bedtime by about an hour.
