2 Months Since DTC, Finally LID
Almost two months ago we were DTC... just learned our LID! Hurray! Finally... now for the even longer wait...

- Thought about adopting a long time ago. I guess the first time was back in college. - 2/1/07 Attended Seminar about China Adoption - 2/4/07 Made Personal China Adoption Commitment - 2/15/07 Signed on with Adoption Agency - 3/15/07 Wife Fingerprints/Background Check Complete - 3/18/07 Husband Fingerprints/Background Check Complete - 3/26/07 I-600A Received by USCIS (Newark, NJ) - 5/29/07 USCIS Receives Completed Home Study - 6/12/07 USCIS Approval I-171H Received (Newark, NJ) - 7/1/07 US Embassy in Guangzhou Receives Notification - 7/5/07 Self-Authentication Paperchase Completed (three states HI, DE, NJ and three consulates LA, DC, NY) - 7/6/07 DTA - 7/16/07 DTC - 7/24/07 LID

October 18, 2005: I-171 Arrived! November 7, 2005: dossier to agency!! November 11, 2005: DTC!!  November 22, 2005 LID!!!!!!!!  DOR September 4, 2007!!!!!!! Forever Family Day: October 29, 2007!!!!!!!

Congratulations!
At least you were LID shortly after you were DTC. It's too bad it took you so long to find out.

Wow! Congrats on finally learning your LID! You almost have 2 months behind you! Let's hope this wait really doesn't end up as long as they are saying!!!
