Special Needs Question
Hi everyone. I am Kelley and I am actually adopting from Ethiopia and have been active on the boards there. I have a close friend and neighbor who is adopting from China (just got her LID about a month ago!!) who asked me if I could post this question for her. She isn't a member of the forums. I hope you don't mind me doing that . . .
What is the typical wait time between receiving the referral for a special needs child and travel? Is it the same as the wait between a non-special needs child and travel? Thanks so much in advance . . . from both of us! Best, Kelley

The time frames are different.
If you are referred through the NSN program, you should travel in about two months. If you accept a referral though the SN program, and your dossier is complete, travel will usually occur in 4-6 months.
