good news....we accepted a waiting child referral!
In april we turned a checklist for our agencies waiting child program. With the wait being so long, we decided to investigate the waiting child program. We didn't even think about a waiting child when we were first paperchasing. After much talking and alot of research, we turned in our checklist in April. We were open to a boy so we thought we might see something by the end of this year.
Well what do you know. We got a chance to review of file of a baby boy who just turned one on sept 2nd. He has a repaired cleft lip and an unrepaired palette. We had his file reviewed by an international adoption doctor in Birmingham. We accepted his referral on Friday afternoon. He is in the Fuling SWI in Chongqing. We hope to travel sometime between late December and January. When I get permission, I will post his pictures. His name will be Patrick with a nickname of Ricky! Jen

Congratulations! We were hoping to switch to a waiting child in March. But our agency thought it was too late. Obviously we were meant to wait for miss Aurora! I truely believe that you will be placed with the child you were always meant to have. Even if we don't know where they are in the begining!
