Off to China 9/6!!
We leave this thursday morning! It really snuck up on us, even though it seemed like a eternity at times. Since we are in the SN process it has just been 9 months total, so I can't imagine how hard it would be to wait 2 years or more.
We feel like we're prepared, and we have done some traveling overseas so we think we'll be ok with that aspect of the trip. As for how things go with our daughter; we're prepared for the worst and hoping for the best. She's ben with the same foster family since she was 3 months old, and she's 25 months now. So she probably thinks the FM is her real mom, and we're preparing for a grieving little girl. My heart aches just thinking of how she might feel about losing her FM. But maybe she'll do ok? We'll see. If anyone has any specific questions about travel after we get back feel free to PM or e-mail me. Dan

Excited!!! That is wonderful news. I can understand your preparation...even if she has a hard time nothing can be better than the love of a permadent family...a real Mother and a real Father. Enjoy meeting YOUR new baby girl!
