stroller
Hello everyone. we are getting ready to leave on 18 Aug and were in the middle of packing but have a question. Should we bring a stroller or just buy one cheap one over there and get rid of it before we leave.

Personally, I wouldn't bring one. We used a hip hammock in province and then borrowed a free stroller in Guangzhou. I wouldn't have wanted something extra to lug along when I didn't need it.

I would not take one with you. We bought one the day after we got our daughter. It didn't cost very much. We brought it home with us and it was a lifesaver in the airports, especially when we were delayed a few hours in Chicago.

Many hotels have strollers!
When we were in Chongqing, we borrowed a stroller from the Marriott. Once we were in Guangzhou, we bought a very inexpensive stroller for about $12. Another option is to borrow a stroller from one of many, many "friendship" shops in Guangzhou. However, the stroller was very, very helpful when traveling through the airports and it was well worth spending a few $$.

My daughter weighed only 14 lbs (she was 11 months old) so I carried her in the Baby Bjorn. I did rent a stroller from my Guangzhou hotel one day.

I wouldn't bring one. The hotel where we stayed in Lily's province provided strollers for us. It was already in the hotel room when we checked in. When we got to Guangzhou, we bought a very inexpensive umbrella stroller and then left it with our agency guide for the next travel group. There were also places that would let you borrow strollers for free.

I agree. There is no need to bring a stroller. We used our hip hammock and it was very helpful at the airports in China since we didn't have extra hands to push a stroller with all our luggage. In Guangzhou we borrowed a stroller from one of the local stores and returned it before we left.
Have a good trip. |

I wouldn't bring a stroller, either. She wouldn't ride in it most of the time anyway. She wanted to be held all the time. So we did! Good luck on your trip! You're in for the experience of a lifetime!
