I had a few really great teachers that were role models when I was young, my parents too.
For my kids I hope one day that if asked they will say me and my DH and mean it...

I had a really good teacher in highschool that made life fun. Also, my grandmother (paternal) and my dad have always been great role models.
As for the future, who knows. My brother and his wife have a wonderful way of honoring their immediate family. Perhaps they will be my daughter's role models.

There's a non-profit organization run by college students called China Cares. The students are usually Asian Americans and some chapters have a mentoring program.
A young, Asian American woman could be a wonderful role model for our girls. |
