I use to have some negative thoughts about SAHM's until I stayed home with my daughter for 6 weeks. I now have a new appreciation for them. It is a tough job.

I personally work a very mentally draining IT job where I get up at 3:30am to start working and don't get home until 07:00pm. I also was working my days off at my husband's business (which was physically draining) getting up at 5:30am with us not getting home until 07:30pm. Even after that kind of schedule I have NEVER been so drained until now----- being a SAHM believe it or not! For the next year or so, I will be staying at home with Keira being a SAHM 24 hours a day and until now, I really had not idea how much work it really is. Even though I am totally drained at the end of the day, it is VERY worth it and I feel so very fortunate to be able to have this time with her!
