Passport Problems
I read somewhere that I need two blank pages in my passport when I travel to China. Is this true? If so does anyone know how I can get sheets inserted into my passport and does the Chinese Government have any problems with inserts?

Hey Peter,
I haven't had a chance to read all the way through this, but maybe it will help. How to Add Extra Pages to Your U.S. Passport

Hi! When we lived over in China, our passports got very full. We had the extra pages added in, and we had no problems from anyone. It was neat to see all of the visas in there! Can't wait to do that again to our new passports! LBudder

Thanks for the link. This is what kills me about the U.S. government. I have a passport that is getting full, which implies that I use it a lot. But I have to mail it to them so they can keep it for an undisclosed amount of time.
Secondly, I live in a foreign country. I can't be without a passport for any length of time. Going through the adoption paper work just keeps pointing out the ineficiencies in our govenment. Rant finished. Peter C. |

You should be able to mail your passport to the Consular section at the US Embassy where you are located. You do not need to mail it back to the US.
Getting pages added to your passport is a quick process and should not take more than a few days. |

I agree that you should contact the U.S. Embassy where you are located. The Consular section should be able to resolve your problem very easily.
