Old friend with good news
It has been a while since I have been around, busy with the kids.... but for anyone who remembers me I wanted to share our good news. We are LID 3-21-06. We have tried unsuccessfully to work with our agencies special needs list three times and had almost given up when it all came together in Jan. We were allowed to write a LOI (letter of intent) for a 1 year old with a repaired cleft lip (unrepaired pallate). Now, since we were LID so long ago we didn't get PA (parental approval) and so I haven't been able to share pictures or much info. But that has changed. We have skipped PA and gotten our LOA (letter seeking acceptance) and should have TA in 4 weeks and travel in about 8 weeks from now!!!
Her name is Kailee and Karl 7, Max 5 and Lilly 3 from (Hunan) are all excited. (Well the boys are excited, Lilly changes from moment to moment and I don't think she gets it yet.) When I can I will pop back over with a photo. For now I have Visa apps and many other things that I have to get to. Life is going to be really crazy for a while. All my best, Diana

Great news! My daughter was born with a unilateral cleft lip and alveolar ridge. There is a great site for information if you ever need it...just let me know.

I would love to know the site. Most seem to have the split in the soft area of the palate and the aveolar ridge is rairly talked about.
I am trying to resize her picture. Sorry but I am kind of struggling. Diana

What awesome news! We are on the SN track, so I'm so excited whenever I see one of these awesome kids find their family!
