Leaving for China to get our daughter Friday night
After all this time waiting, we're finally leaving to pick up Keira Friday night and will meet her on Christmas Day! It's so bizarre knowing that we will be coming home with a new family member.
 If anyone's interested I will be updating our adoption trip blog atBringing Keira home

Oh my, your daughters face looks very similar to my daughter's face when we got her. We have Gang Xiu also from the Guangdong province, but from a different place. I am just amazed at how much that little face looked like our daughters when we first saw her. You will be blessed so much by your journey and your experiences. I will be following your trip and look forward to seeing this precious little girl come into her new family. Everyone's journey still makes me cry!

That's what I call a Merry Christmas. Congratulations.
I see you are spendning the whole trip in Quangzhou. Near the White Swan is a place called Jennifers. They will give you great deals on clothes made specificly for you or your daughter (laundry too). They can make clothes as fast as 24 hours. Some people went as far as to get matching outfits for themselves and their daughters. There is a good grocery story up the street called Bernice's. I found honey nut cheerios there and a good selection of baby food. Avoid buying souvineers or food in the hotel. It is significantly more expensive than any of the resturants or stores in the area. Everyone expects you to bargin. You can get 1 piece outfits for 30 RMB ($3.75 US) and two piece for 40 ($5 US). The more you buy at any given store, the bigger the discount. And if you buy to much, you can get a giant rolling bag for 100 to 130 RMB ($12.5 to $15 US). Guanzhou is also a great place to get pearls. My wife got a lovely strand for our daughter for $180. She also got a great deal on some tahitian pearls for herself. (don't remember how much) Hopefully, this is helpful. You may have this info already. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I don't know about the matching outfits with my daughter  but the prices sound right. I'm sure my wife will love the fact that they fit outfits for you.And thanks everyone for your kind wishes. I'll try my best to update the blog as much as possible.
