Bio Children
Hello All,
I don't post but love to follow along with the latest on Chinese adoptions. I am one semester away from receiving my social work degree so that I can live out my dream of working in the adoption field and also have a vested interest in China. After graduation, I'm hoping to head to Henan to teach English for a spell. I am the bio child within an adoptive family and recently wrote an article for RainbowKids about my experiences of growing up in a multiracial home formed through adoption. My siblings are Korean, but I think the message is applicable to those adopting from any country (including the US). This article may be useful for those with bio children considering adoption, or for family members who may express concerns over how your adoption will impact your existing children. I don't know if I'm allowed to post the link but it's at the popular adoption website listed above. Please feel free to spread the word - this is a message I feel strongly about sharing for the benefit of others! Thanks, Kali |

Kali,
I read your article. Thank you for sharing your story. It was beautiful and brought tears to my eyes. I hope my daughters will share the same kind of bond you have with your siblings.
