Thumbs up Good news& Intake Question...

We've been accepted!!!!
Our agency called and said our application has been accepted and we have set up our "Intake Appointment" for next week. Is this like an orientation and time to set up home study meetings?
I'm waiting for a call back, but just wondering if anyone online can answer this......or tell me about their experience-I'm a little nervous.

Thanks in advance-
It finally feels REAL!!!!!

Congratulations. I am sure you will be fine. I was really worried about out HS and all the paperwork and it was not bad at all.

Our home visit is this Friday and I vowed not to be one of those people obsessed with cleaning before the SW arrived....as I pulled the dryer out to sweep behind it...

The advice here helped me to not over obsess and to relax. If nothing else, it's an extra day off work and a chance to ask questions and get info about what is going on at CCAA. (Our SW leaves for China on Saturday, so I'm hoping she has dirt).

We did things a little backwards at first, we sent in our application, but they really wanted us to go to the informational meeting first. We had our intake meeting (via telecom because we were far away). We were accepted, made our first SW appointments then attended the informational meetings. The intake meeting was really to go through all the steps, all the paperwork that needs to be done and the opportunity to have questions answered. The intake meeting did stress some issues such as criminal background, health, home situation, # of divorces, etc.

Good luck, feel free to PM me with any questions!
