O.K., another question...
How long did it take for you to officially be logged in from the time you sent your completed dossier to your agency?
I am just so excited to finally be to this point!

We are hoping to be DTC by the 15th at the latest. We were told to expect about a month for a LID, but that we may not actually find out for a few weeks after that...
I'm curious to see what others have to say! Congrats!

It took a month from the time our agency sent the dossier to China until it was logged in. However, I know that for some people the time frame from DTC to LID was 2-3 weeks.

Our timeline was a little different because we were still waiting on our 797c when we submitted our dossier to our agency.
June 16 - delivered dossier in person to our agency (without the 797c which we were still waiting for) June 28 - passed critical review July 18 - received 797c July 19 - took 797c in person to county and GA Secretary of State June 20 - sent 797c to courier service in Houston July 25 - received 797c from courier - drove it up to our agency! July 25 - our dossier was approved at the branch office and sent to the agency's home office July 27 - Our DTC date!!!!!! August 10 - We are LID!!!!!

DTC: 11/11/05
LID: 11/22/05 We did not find out about our LID until about 12/19/05, so it takes awhile to find out the date sometimes - even if there were not many days between DTC and LID (11 daus, in our case).

It took us a little longer than 2 weeks between DTC and LID.

There are some variables:
1. How thoroughly your agency reviews dossiers for completeness, when they are received. 2. Whether your dossier was translated in the U.S. or in China. 3. Whether your agency sends dossiers as they are received, or waits till it gets a certain number of dossiers before sending them to China. 4. How busy the CCAA is at a given time. Dossiers may not be logged in immediately upon receipt. Sharon

It really varies. We were lucky enough to be a part of that end of March '06 speedy LID time period. It means we are at the end of a large month, but we were never expecting to be in March.
We were DTA- 3/21 DTC-3/24 LID-3/29 and we found out on 3/30 It was a wild ride. The email from our agency said it was in "record time", but I have seen someone else around that time that had a LID 4 days after DTC! They did not find it out as quickly as we did. I was in shock. It all happened so fast, and now we wait...... I just thought I would post to let you know that it really does fluctuate. Good Luck, Akina
