Adoption after cancer
I am curious if anyone out there has adopted from China before being cancer free for 5 years. By the time my husband and I are able to start he will be cancer free for about three years.... His cancer is 99% never going to come back. We have received this in writing from our radiologist and primary care when we completed our last adoption. Any thoughts would be wonderful!!!
Thanks Suzanne |

We have not started the process yet b/c I am not 30 (1 more year!), but I spoke with several different agencies b/c I had cancer several years ago. They ALL said that I would not have a problem adopting since my cancer too had such a high "cure" rate. They said that with a letter from my doctor there will be no problems. They also ALL encouraged me with the news that people who had been cancer free for less time that I had adopted and it went smoothly for them.
Hope this helps and congrats on being cancer free! Ashley |
