NYC USCIS office

Hi,

I am visiting from the Guatemala forum.

Does anyone know how long it is taking the NYC office to issue the I-171H after doing fingerprints. I sent in the 600A last month and plan on mailing in my homestudy tomorrow.

Also, has anyone had any luck requesting an appointment on a particular day in the NYC office? Did it delay the appointment considerably?

Thanks,
gail

Our NYC agencey said that the turnaround time has been about 2-3 weeks. We were fingerprinted on Monday and will know soon enough! If you can't make it to your fingerprinting appointment, you can go on any Wedensday for about 3 months after your scheduled appointment.

Hope this helps!

I got lucky when I walked my homestudy in. After submitting it I asked if it were possible to get a fingerprint appointment while I was there. Surprise, surprise, I got it for the next day. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I know two people that had success and one that had to wait for it in the mail. Wishing you a speedy fingerprint appt.
