National Adoption Awareness Month, originally created to promote adoption from the US Foster Care System, has been accepted by the general adoption community as a month to celebrate adoption and its role in creating hundreds of thousands of families all over the US.

What do you plan to do this month to raise adoption awareness with those you interact with on a daily basis?

To add to this November 18th is National Adoption Day and it's a Saturday!! What kinda cool ideas can we come up with to help raise adoption awareness, especially about the needs of orphans in China?

Wouldn't it be fun to have a "tell our story" day at our local church, library, or other community center?

I can tell you that there are TONS of people in my community who have had questions about adoption since we brought Jasmine home. We almost felt like the "test cases". Since we have been home we have had at least three families talk to us and tell us that they are SERIOUSLY considering adoption themselves (one family is even considering a China adoption! )

How cool. Our daughters birthday is Nov 18. We will be spending the day celebrating her 3rd birthday (her first one with us).

I plan to go to China to get my son! Everyone who stands still for a minute is hearing about it right now.

I will actually be speaking at an adoption seminar on Saturday and I am very excited to be taking Kennedy and my other girls along to show people how our lives have changed since adopting Kennedy last October.
