Relocating
My DW and DD are relocating and I've got to questions for everyone.
#1. We've been home for about 9 months with our 22 month old daughter. We work really hard to stick to a schedule with her and she does great. She's not really old enough to understand the concept of moving, so how can we make the move easy for her? #2. A bit off topic. We're moving to central New Jersey. Probably near Princeton/Plainsboro. Anyone from the area? I'd love to learn about FCC groups and neighborhood recomendations. We'd love to buy a house, but moving from Ohio, the prices are really steep. Can any "locals" advise neighborhoods for us to look at? Thanks!

We have moved three times the last 5 years.. To me, the most important thing when moving, has been to finish off the kids' rooms first (ok, having a shower, toilet and sink is also important
).I have finished their rooms completely, including curtains and pictures o the walls. I don't think our kids have had to many problems with moving, because they have had their safe haven, with their toys and teddy bears where they could be themselves, even though the rest of the house is turned upside down and is being redecorated. Yes, 22 months is fairly young, so most likely she'll be fine as long as you guys are there. Good luck! |
