Hi,
I am pretty stumped as to what I need to include in the essay. I wanted to get it finished before I meet with the social worker. Is the essay basically about our lives, family, etc? Also, does the social worker show examples of essays. Thanks for any help!! ![]() |

Hi!
We did not write an essay, we wrote autobiographies. My husband and I both wrote out ours based on questions provided by our agency- they had to be narrative in form and at least 8 pages for each of us! While I don't mind writing, telling your own life story on paper for someone else can be hard!!! I think each agency has very different requirements- I wouldn't write too much until you get more info on what is wanted. (Your agency or social worker should give you clear directions on what is expected.) Good luck and best wishes! ![]() |

We had a list of specific questions to answer. This worked well for us, I wouldn't have known where to begin if we had nothing to go by.
