Is your agency able to send their originals to CCAA? I know that when we were preparing our dossier, we had to have everything double notarized for that very reason.

I can't even imagine the frustration you must be feeling right now

This is just terrible and it makes you feel powerless I assume. My prayers are with you and hope they find your dossier. I know that all the obstacles happen for a reason (trust me, we went through them) but I think this is the worst I have heard. Well, no, I do remember back when we were paperchasing many moons ago, a family's dossier was SHREDDED by the shipping company (one that many of us use). Needless to say there was no search needed for that. It was horrible.

Please let us know if they find it. Again, I am praying for you!

I'm so sorry you're having to go through this! It is stressful enough just to gather those papers one time! I hope that the shipping company figures out what went wrong and takes responsibility...I am sure the dossier will show up somewhere!! We are all thinking of you!

I am so sorry that this has happened to you and the other families. I hope that you hear some good news soon. I know this has to be hugely frustrating.

I just want to add my good wishes that your dossier is found very quickly! I will say a prayer to St. Anthony (he is the finder of lost things--I pray to him alot! ) Hopefully he will help find your dossier!

I can't imagine what you are going through, saying a prayer for your dossier!

OH MY GOD! I would be sick! I'm so sorry to hear this!

It seems like the CCAA could make an exception and accept copies instead of originals in a situation like this. I can't imagine having to go back and redo everything.

Praying they find those dossiers...SOON!!

I'm so sorry to hear this. Maybe this is the reason why my agency asked my dh and I to carry documents to China and give them to the coordinator. Needless to say, we were relieved to hand them over.

Thank you all so much for all of your supportive words and prayers! Each hour brings a new story from the shipping company. This morning it was almost surely completely lost then it was that part of the label must have been ripped off the package and now the story is that it might have been delivered after all with the wrong tracking number being scanned. The representative that we are working with now says she will know with 100% certainty in the morning after they have a chance to talk to someone in China. She said not to get our hopes up too high. In the meantime I am gathering more original documents. We only had one copy of all of the originals so it is starting from scratch. I have already started and have one document down so far...

It sounds like there is still hope. Maybe the dossier was delivered after all. That would be wonderful. Keep us posted. Best of luck!

Great news!! Thank you all for following the crisis of our lost dossier. This morning I checked the site with our tracking information and - voila - the delivery information appeared overnight. The wrong tracking information had been scanned and the package was actually delivered on June 12th. My husband called the shipping company and got confirmation from a live person that it was, indeed, delivered. I hate that we stressed for over a week about this but I am so grateful that we have a wonderful resolution. All of your positive thoughts and prayers definitely helped make this happen!! Now on to celebrating and waiting for our LID!
