I was just reading in our local newspaper about a woman who got scammed by a lady who lives 15 miles from us. She contacted a woman who had an ad on one of the online adoptive parents profiles. She told the lady she was expecting twins. The article said there were red flags the whole time, but she WANTED to believe in it.
The article listed a website, I don't know what the rules are here, but it's URL Removed because it points to a retail website
The site has a lady who was scammed & she takes reports from others who are scammed & puts it in her data base to help others.
Maybe everyone is already aware of this website, but its the first I've heard of it. I reported a facilitator- who I thought was a lost cause- and she said they have to have a $10,000 bond to be a facilitator, so I could have gotten legal action & maybe got my money back. I am way past that- it was 5 years ago, but she takes reports & lists, and you can email her & she'll email the list. I think it's pretty cool.
If this is "inappropriate" sorry- I'm not sure the rules.

Ineresting. We lost a lot of money with a facilitator as well, but it's one with a good reputation an still in business.
