OT American Idol Finals!!
I voted at least 30 times for Taylor! Can't wait to hear Chris and Elliot sing again tonight.

I thought it all came down to that last song "written just for them". While I loved both songs...I do believe that Taylor nailed his without a doubt. Katherine seemed very nervous (who wouldn't be)...but I did hear some sour notes as well. She didn't seem to put as much gusto in hers as Taylor did, but he does that to every song, doesn't he? I really hope Taylor gets it. He's a great artist and entertainer! This has been one of the best seasons of AI, I think. Lots of talent.

I loved him last night. Then again he has been my favorite since the beginning! I will say that I did enjoy Katherine's own song however I thought she really screwed up "Over The Rainbow" depsite doing it wonderful a few weeks when she did it. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone perform tonight. This is the first season I ever watched AI and I love it!

Actually, I thought that both original songs were less than exciting. Taylor's song was better than Kat's but I hope they record better stuff than that.
BTW I remember thinking the same thing last year about Carrie. Then her first real single was "Jesus Take the Wheel" and I love that.

My vote goes to Taylor. I thought that he did a great job.
The original song that was written for Kat was terrible. The judges were right-- she was better than the song. It was written too low for her and not really in a style that she is good at. I wasn't overly impressed with the beginning of Taylor's, but when he got to the chorus, I liked the song a lot better. As always, the heart that he put into the performance impressed me.

I agree! Both new songs were a disappointment, especially Kat's. She wasn't given much to work with! Then again, neither was Taylor but he still did something great with it. And that's why I voted for him. :-)

Whoooaaaahoooooo! I really enjoyed tonight's show! Of course I am so happy about Taylor winning. My parents loved this show and really enjoyed all the entertainment tonight so I went and bought 3 tickets (of couse there is 1 for me) to see the AI tour for them for their anniversary present (anniversary is June 2). I can hardly stand it the wait to show them. Its so hard to find something to do for my parents as they are pretty simple people who revolve their life around myself, my husband and the love of their life, Olivia! If it wasn't for them we wouldn't have Olivia as they helped pay for the adoption. Ok this went way OT. Sorry about that--I am just so excited.

WOW! I had no idea that the finale was going to be such a star studded event. That was absolutely amazing.
I loved seeing great's like Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton and PRINCE!!! So impressive...

Yes I saw the last one. I was at my sister-in-laws and had to watch it, lol. It was ok and I did see the guy Taylor win. I than was at my brothers and guess what he watched? It was So you think you can dance? That was funny cause some of them that thought they had moves, well how do I put this nice, sucked. And some were down right scarey, lol. So any of you going to be watching that show? LMBO
