A Year Ago Today....
It's seems hard to believe that a year ago today we got our referral for our little angel. How fast that year has gone.
For all of you who are waiting for "the call", my heartfelt good wishes go out to you. Your wait seems endless I'm sure but all this time will be a fleeting memory when that special call comes. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I look forward to hearing all your happy news in the weeks and months ahead. Mary

Happy Referral anniversary!!
 Wow - one year ago today we were trying to sort out my DH's birth certificate issue - there was something confusing about it and we had just sorted it out (I just looked in my journal to see what we were doing one year ago today), so we were just starting the paper chase. Now we are 6 months into our wait for our referral. Hopefully by this time next year we will be home with our baby

Forever Family Day: October 29, 2007!!!!!!!

Thanks for the good wishes all. Our Emily is doing just beautifully. When she came home she looked more like a 3 month old than a 10 month old. Very tiny and developmentally delayed. She is still tiny (probably biologically programmed that way
) but has caught up at an amazing rate. She is just starting to walk, however she still prefers to crawl; she moves like lightening on all fours! Her speech is a work in progress but we are seeing strides there as well. She is a wonderful baby; the perfect addition to our family. We haven't found a food she doesn't like and she has a mega-watt smile that is contageous to say the least. Her older brother and sister adore her and she eats up their attention. We are so blessed to have this child in our family. For those of us who have been around here for a while, we've gone through many ups and downs together during the whole paper chase and referral wait. I am so looking forward to hearing about your babies and travel plans. Words just can't express what an amazing time that is. I will relive it all through you when that happy day comes!
