I was surprised last week when Kelli was not in the bottom three, but I was SHOCKED when Chris was!!

So this week. (If there is any justice.) I think the bottom 3 should be Kelli, Paris and Katherine, with Kelli exiting. Probably won't happen, but it's what I hope to see.

My dh and I were playing it in slow motion and actually saw Katherine pop a button and got a little pantie flash. We were cracking up! I do like her though. We aren't done watching it yet, so I'll have to let you know my guesses.

I think Paris and Katherine and Elliott are the best vocally. Hope they stick it our the longest. I know there are alot of Chris fans out there, but just something about his voice I don't care for. Maybe too throaty sounding touching on nasally.

Who knows who the bottom 3 will be, but Kelli sure butchered her songs the last couple week. She isn't all that good. Time to say bye bye to Kelli.

Hard to say Lissa, I think the only ones that did well tonight was Elliot and Chris, I don't know who it will be, my husband thinks it will be Paris or Taylor to go tomorrow night

I agree with your list Lissa, I was a little surprised at the negativity of the judges about Taylor. I thought he did well. I would be the first to say he did awful the week of country, but I really thought he chose a song that complimented his style, so I was surprised.

My dh also thinks Chris is to throaty. He hasn't been crazy about any of Chris's performances but thought he did well tonite.

The thing I keep having to remind myself is that the title of the show is American IDOL not America's best singer or even America's best performer.

If it was America's best singer Mandisa would still be in there, because while she picked songs poorly (as far as picking crowd pleasers anyway), she could sing better than anybody up there. Taylor really strikes me as the best showman up there...but it's American IDOL. And that's a whole different thing...it's what makes Kelli winning a possibility even though she's not the most talented or the best performer.

My 2 cents on AI: Chris is my favorite. I got kinda tired of the rocker about mid-season, but the last 2 weeks he's proven to me that he can do the ballads with feeling and passion. 2nd for me is Katherine although it seems to me lately that she's showing some nervousness for some reason. You can tell she's had training but she does have some trouble with pitch every once in a while. I thought her dress last night was beautiful but maybe just a little too tight for her body type? Elliott is my 3rd choice. He's simple...but when he is coached just right...he has a great vocal instrument. I don't like Paris much at all. I think she tends to "oversing" her songs to prove she's got a powerful voice when she doesn't need to. I'm beginning to get bored with Taylor although I thought he did pretty well last night. He does sing with feeling and you can tell that he really enjoys what he's doing. As for Kellie? Well, I like her attitude and I do believe she can sing. I'm from a small town 10 miles south of Kellie's hometown of Albemarle. Kellie's success on AI has given our county a much needed shot in the arm. Another textile mill just closed down last week and unemployment numbers are going up here. We needed to have something to cheer about. No, Kellie is not nearly the best singer. But having no vocal training I think she's done well for herself. Last night when David Foster and Andrea Bocelli were working with her, they got her to hit notes that she didn't believe she could ever reach. That was something. I think this AI experience has done a lot of good for her and I'm happy for her. As far as the "dumb blonde/country act"? People here DO talk like that. If I had lived with my grandparents all my life (like Kellie has), I would have a much more pronounced country accent as well. I do think her "dumb blonde" routine has been overplayed and egged on by the AI folks. Look at Dolly Parton...she's one of my favorite performers and she also plays that dumb blonde image at times too. But she is definitely no dummy! As far as the whole AI show...it's not a real talent show. Viewers are told to vote for their favorite...not necessarily who they think is the best. And the judges? That's where the joke is! But this is just my opinion.

I have wanted Kelli off for weeks, so I hope this week is finally it. She is awful.

I love Elliott and Chris (they were both SO good last night), and I do love Taylor - but last night he was not so good (he is better when belting out the songs). Katharine is still one of my faves, too.

Paris is just so-so to me.

Paris is from the same county where I live and I can relate to what Sharon said. It's fun to have a hometown girl to root for. I think she has a HUGE voice, but I'm having trouble imagining the kind of music she will record if she makes it.

Katherine is growing on me and while she's no Whitney Houston (who is!?!), I liked her performance last night.

Taylor's my fave - he just seems real.

I think it's time for Kellie to go. I think she's a cutie, but the other singers are leaving her in the dust.

I think Kellie will go home this week...although she seems to have quite a fan base ( I thought she was guaranteed a spot in the bottom 3 last week!). FWIW, I think the bottom three wil be Kellie, Paris, and Taylor.

Well, America got it right and voted out Kellie... I think she could have a career in country music with the help of a voice coach, but she definitely wasn't good enough to stay with the remaining Idol contestants.

They're all good and they're all different, but I think that Paris, Taylor, and Elliot may be the bottom three next week. It would be strictly a preliminary guess, but I feel that Paris would be the most vulnerable to go home.
