No "Thomas" fans?? Everything at our house is Thomas the Tank Engine No. 1. My kids also like Dora and Jack's Music Show and a new animal show (I can't remember the name). My kids are just starting to get into the "Boom Cartoon" channel - Tom & Jerry Kids, "Looney Kids" (Bugs, Tweetie, Sylvester, Taz, etc as preschoolers) and Scooby-Doo (all versions!) On PBS Sprout, they like Thomas and Pingu. I can't stand the Sprout format - they sneak in "commercials" and are always telling you what's coming up. For me, just give me my Flintstones and Jetsons....

Jason's outgrown a lot of the younger children's programming as he's 7. I hear about all the new shows from my 3 year old niece and I'm thinking I might try to keep the tv away from the baby when she comes home*S* Not really, but some of the new shows seem strange to me. There is a trend among the 1-3 grade boys in our school to watch the Boobahs which unfortunately Jason's picked up on. I can't stand that show. I also hate Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents, and Bobobobo-bo (yet another Japanese cartoon that makes no sense to me). Jason and I watch Extreme Makeover:Home Edition, the Food Network Challenges, and House Hunters. One of his favorite shows is America's Funniest Home Videos which I can't stand but DH likes it as well. He went through a phase where he watched Most Haunted but doesn't seem to care about it anymore.

My daughter loves the Cedarcrest videos where kids do all the singing. We play it over and over. My dh and I started getting tired of hearing the same songs over and over, so we put it in spanish and she loves it like this, because now its new to her and thankfully to us!
