I600A Processing - Kansas City Office

Just curious if anyone has used the Kansas City, MO office for processing of the I600A and fingerprinting? If so, did you hand deliver the paperwork or did you mail the form and wait for your fingerprinting appointment to be scheduled?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know about mailing you stuff in to this office. But don't worry you are really lucky. This is a great, fast office. We used this office in Jan. Basicly they are using a system called Infopass. When your homestudy is complete go online to Infopasss. You will click on your regional area to KC and then go through the prompts to make an appointment. It confused me a little because the only appointment was for problems with your paperwork I think. I called and they said that was fine as long as it was an appointment. We made it for a week and a half out. Then we had several illnesses and had to redo the appointment twice. But we were always able to find a time. When we got there we gave them our completed homestudy, our forms and a money order (I wasn't taking a chance on a check). We walked to the other end of the room and had our fingerprints and left within 45 min. Then 8 days, yes 8 days latter we had our 171. I have heard a a few others it took 2-3 weeks but still that is nothing compared to other offices. If you are within drivin distance it is well worth it.

I dont think you can mail in with this office, I have never heard of anyone doing it. But odi is right, they are awesome and super fast now, they used to be horrible (81 day wait for our first one, 3 weeks on the second). Just go in with it and get fingerprinted the same day.

Thanks for the information. That is good to hear, and I hope our process goes well. Hopefully we will be heading to KC in the next 2-3 weeks.

Hi make sure you make an appointment on line. Then take all completed info this speeds up the process. It only takes about 10 to 12 days that way. We did ours just awhile back. This office is great!
Best wishes

Unhappy I was told 6-8 weeks

I just came from my final HS interview she said that this office had told her that they have just let several people go and to exspect at least 6 weeks up to 8 weeks. I hope this is not the case. we are still waiting on our pass ports to finish the HS. We were also old that the Chicago Chinese Embassy or Consulate will not authenticate any birth or marriage certificate older than 6 months old (as of monday of this week) Sooooo i have to fed ex my certificates certified. i hope this is not true but my understanding is it is so I'm off to kc.

I know someone who was told several months and then got the 171 in two and a half weeks. I believe they say longer and then you can be happily surprised. I asked as well and they said a couple months and we got it in 8 days but that was Jan and I don't know about the letting people go part. I wouldn't worry until you have to. They might be trying to control expectations.
