? on editing your signature

I'm trying to update my signature lines and it keeps telling me "error, you cannot have more than 500 chars. in your sig. line. I do not have more than 500 chars. I've tried everything. I've seen signature lines much longer than mine. Can anyone help. Thx.

the formatting counts as characters too.

So if you have [ colour = pink] before and after every line then that counts as XX number of characters.

If you want the whole thing to be the same colour, font etc.. you only need it at the begining and at the end.

Try making the font smaller that usually helps

The size of the font will have no effect on the character count. An "a" counts as 1 no matter how big or small!

If you are using the WYSIWYG editer to post to the forums - it add's a LARGE amount of code to the front of EVERY line of text.

Read here for more information on how you can bypass the problem for WYSIWYG users.
