Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering about our LID. I've been reading that it's usually 2-3 weeks between DTC and LID. Our dossier was mailed to China on March 1st and that's what I considered our DTC. However, the Parent Access shows March 7th as our DTC (the date Jack Song emailed us and said our dossier was received in China). So I guess March 7th is really our DTC?

If we count 3 weeks from March 7th, then maybe LID will be around March 28th? Ooooohhhh...that's cutting it close. I'm going to be SO BUMMED OUT if we don't get logged in this month.

For those of you using CCAI, how long after LID were you actually told you were logged in? If it's not permissible to post here, could you please PM me? Thanks!

Hey Mary,

I am still waiting for my DTC, the agency says early next week, my fingers are crossed and I am trying hard not to dwell on it!

We are with the same agency, so here is my info:
I spoke with Amanda and she said it typically takes about a month to logged in, our dossier's only have a summary translated here, the main translation of our dossier's happens in China--so that also adds time from DTC to LID

She said it would probably be about 8 weeks from DTC for us to hear what our LID is.

Funny how that seems like FOREVER!!!!!!!!, no?

Now, you do bring up a good point, what is DTC? the date entered on the PAN page or the date that the dossier is mailed?

hmmmmmmmm, that's my question of the day.

We were DTC on 1/20 with ccaa and LID 2/17, so it was about 3 1/2 weeks for us...

We were DTC on 1/23, but did not get the email until 2/6 from Jack Song. On the parent access there is a spot for "CCAI Dossier to China Info Packet sent" and that is what has my 2/6 date. There isn't anything that has our DTC date. Soooo..I called and inquired as to what was my official DTC date. They said to start counting from the email from Jack Song. I think 3 weeks is a good estimate, so I would be hopeful you could count March as your LID month!

We were DTC on 2/3 and our LID was 2/28 so just over 3 weeks for us!!! You should get yours soon!!!

I wasn't told how long it will take but it took 3 weeks.

My dossier was mailed to China on 3/3/05, received by CCAA on 3/9/05 and my LID was 3/15/05. I don't recall how long it took for CCAI to let me know when my actual LID was but it did take a while.

With these dates, I don;t hold out much hope for a March LID, but early April probably! AT least they are reviewing September now.... I hope our referrals start to flow..... Jan

Since y'all have this post here, I thought I'd ask a quick question. We are ALMOST ready to send our dossier to CCAI, but we are still waiting on our 171-H to come in. Did y'all wait to send everything together, or send you dossier THEN the 171-H when you received it?

I know what the agency says, but I also know many people will answer you "by the book", so I wanted the opinions of those of you who have BTDT!

I sent everything to CCAI PRIOR to sending the 171H. They were able to do the critical review while waiting for the last document from me. So, when they finally got the 171H, it took no time at all to get my dossier mailed to CCAA!

If you're still waiting to turn 30 then I think there's no rush. I rushed, rushed, rushed and it didn't do me any good since we had to wait for my dh to turn 30. It was actually painful to have our complete dossier out of critical review and just sitting there while others got DTC and we waited and waited for 30.

We sent our dossier 20 days before we were DTC. Our agency received our 171 on a Friday, we passed critical review that day, went into translation, and were DTC that following Monday.
When do you turn 30? Like Mary said I can see waiting with your completed dossier for your 30th b-day being really tough. However if there are any errors to be fixed that would give you time to correct them. (Especially if a document had to be redone, recertified and authenticated).

You're best off talking with your dossier rep. She can tell you what their current work load is and whether that would be helpful to them to receive everything prior to getting your I171. Sometimes they do want it, sometimes they ask families to wait and send everything at once.
And I would then do what the dossier rep has advised.
