Peg - i have heard that they are now going to be more strict.... I am single with one child...I live with my brother and we are using his income to help qualify me (just in case as I am just a tiny bit under the requriements).

The guideline is $10,000 per family member per year....including the new child.

Check with China Seas Agency. I looked high and low for that very information and until I checked with them I couldn't get any clarification. Email them and tell them the situation you are in and they will help you know if you are eligible or not. I did learn that there is no minimum requirement but that they prefer parents to demonstrate that they can afford to raise the child they are trying to adopt.
