Talking This is such a great forum - thank you!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to take a minute to say that I am so glad I found this forum. It is so nice to be able to share thoughts, feelings, ideas with everyone here. And I am so impressed with the manner in which everyone conducts themselves here. When a controversial or thought-provoking topic comes up, I enjoy reading everyone's differing opinions, and feel welcome to contribute my own, without fear that I will be personally attacked. It is such a friendly atmosphere here - I love it!

Thanks to everyone!

I agree! This is a great forum! I check it multiple times a day.

BTW, I'm originally from NJ. You can take the girl out of Jersey but you can't take Jersey out of the girl.

I love this forum too. The only other ones I even look at anymore are my agency's yahoo groups.

Go Jersey!

Mary - I agree - I will forever be a Jersey girl!
Do the people in OH say you have a Jersey accent? I got teased for it when I went to upstate NY for college. But I think they're the weird ones with their "pop" instead of soda!

No, actually they tell me they're surprised I don't sound more "Joyzee". I've found most Ohioans to have a Southern accent...weird.

Soda? Isn't that something you bake with?

Here in MI we call it pop. Except for some reason my 8 y/o has decided to call it soda.

I'm Texan and I don't say pop or soda. I just call it what it is (ie coke, dr pepper, sprite, etc). And if I don't know then its coke!

I enjoy this forum, too! Feel that I am getting addicted to it, however. Nearly everyday I have to check for new info. I'm curious how much time everyone spends reading and contributing to it. I'm always feeling guilty, like I should be cleaning or doing laundry instead of sitting on the computer!

Amy

P.S. I call it "pop" here in Illinois.

I say soda and my friends tell me that's how they can tell I'm a yankee. I've tried to explain to them numerous times that Indiana is the midwest and not the North but they don't get it.

Here in Oklahoma they ask if you want a coke and if you say yes they ask what kind. Not rocket scientist but I love them anyway and they love me in spite of my Yankee heritage.

I love this forum too and I must admit I spend far too much time on here when I'm supposed to be working.

I've always said soda and I've lived in Kansas, Texas and now Massachusetts. I guess I just picked one I liked and stuck with it.

This forum has helped with so many different issues that have come up! I love to brag and tell everyone about this sight!

I was from Indiana and we always called it Coke - even if it was Sprite, rootbeer, etc.

Pizza... pie?

Ha ha! I love how this thread became about soda (or pop or Coke!)

I also remember getting crap from my great college friends for ordering pizza by the "pie" - apparently, they don't consider a pizza a pie in other parts of the country - funny, isn't it? You'd think I came from a different country!

Speaking of addicted, I must check this site at least 10 times a day!
