I'm having trouble just setting back and waiting. Our agency does everything for you with the dossier, but I'm the type that likes doing something it keeps me calm. Well at least it helps.

Hi,

We were hoping for March DTC, but I think it will be April. Our documents are in Washington, D.C. right now being authenticated. Hopefully by the first of next week our agency will have the completed dossier.

Hi Dana,
Thanks so much for the update. I *hope* I am there in May, but it's looking sketchy. My SW and HS agency have been great, but I know that Immigration is going to be the hold-up. There's an online site you can check for each state, and last I checked, ours was still processing from October!

You can add us for May (hopefully ). We are waiting for our Home Study, and it should be done by next week. Then all we have to wait for is the I-171H.

Christina, what is that website where you can check the progress for each CIS office? We are planning to be fingerprinted tomorrow in Boston. I recently read one poster here who got the I171H back in two weeks from Boston recently. Wouldn't that be nice!

I don't think that the site is updated very frequently - my sil is also going through the process in MO and her 171 came in 12 days, the website says that it is processing December...

Cindy, we are in the same boat We had our last hs visit last week and the write up should be completed this week. We should be filing the i600a by the end of this week...yippee! Our agency has us wait to file until the hs is done.

Call your ins office that is to long of a wait. I've never seen anybody go over 90 days, and if I understud you right you've been waiting since Oct? that is ahhhhhhfuuul!!!!

Thanks for making the list! There are a lot of us, and as DTC gets closer I am getting more excited!

Off to the NYC consulate tomorrow to have everything (except I-171H) authenticated!

Dana, thanks so much for your concern, but we are actually waiting on our homestudy (it's being reviewed by our placement agency) in order to send our I-600A in. So, thankfully, I've not been waiting since October--that site just lists Baltimore's office as "currently" processing forms from October 15th. I started another thread on this, actually, and several people assured me that the site is never up to date--phew!

Maybe we WILL be DTC sometime in May then!

we are in Orlando, it said they were processing I-600A's from October 2005, when ours was APPROVED, we submitted it January 18, 2006, but they didn't have our HS report until 2/18, and we were approved on 2/22/06--so clearly the Orlando info was out of date--hope that gives you all waiting on your I-171H HOPE!!!!

The Newark info also says processing from Oct, and I know the wait is long, but not that long! More like 8 wks, from what I hear. So those websites seem to be very outdated - thank goodness!

Still hoping to be DTC in May before I turn 31!

Stacy, that's great! There are quite a few that are at this exact stage. Right now things can either speed up for us or slow down. We are going on vacation next week until the 22nd, our SW is going away starting the 22nd until the 27th. I talked to her today and she is going to try to get it done before we leave so that they can send me a copy to review when we get back. This way our agency can also send it to Philadelphia for our I-171H. If she doesn't get it done we may have to wait until the end of March to even review it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, I'll know more tomorrow.

Our dossier is being mail to China in the next week to week and a half. I would think that would make us March DTC but our agency is saying that we would be April DTC. So I guess add me to the list as well.
