Oprah

I watched most of Oprah this morning. I missed the first 7 min. She didn't say anything about her adoption! Except she was adopted from China and her name is Daisy True- unless I missed something at the beginning. If I did let me know so I can watch it tonight when it is rebroadcast! Daisy is a cute name!I really like Meg Ryan alot.

I thought her name was Charlotte!

Guess you can't believe what you read!

I think Oprah comes on later here, but if she didn't talk about her adoption, I probably won't bother to watch.

Meg initially named her Charlotte but changed the name to Daisy. I read that on oprah.com. So they don't discuss Meg's adoption? If not, I won't bother to watch either.

Really? Okay good. We plan to name our daughter Charlotte and I was kind of bummed when I heard she did - LOL.

Meg

Meg talks about Daisy the first 7 minutes of the show, basically, then they go to other topics. I wish she would have talked about her adoption experience more. She did say she changed her name from Charlotte to Daisy because Daisy just fit her. They showed her picture and the audience awwwwwwed. Beautiful little girl.

Yes, I think Meg wanted to talk more about the process but Oprah sort of cut her off. I guess talking about her love life is juicier.

Oprah never seems to talk about anything long if she can't turn the subject around to talk about herself. I think Meg wanted to talk about the adoption but Oprah had to turn the conversation to her divorce scandal which really should be old news.

Did you notice that the only pictures they showed of Daisy were from the news clipping we all saw earlier this month? I guess Meg is VERY concerned about her privacy because she didn't even bring in a nice picture. I was hoping she would have brought her daughter in so we could see her. I loved how she talked about her son.

Mary and Julie--you took the words right out of my mouth. I commend Oprah for all of her humanitarian work and generosity, but sometimes I don't like getting hit over the head with it. She can be a bit immature in her "now me, now me" interruptions of guests.

I, too, liked how Meg talked about her son and the fact that she purposefully disappeared from the spotlight to just be a mother.
