I know our agency received referrals today, not sure how many yet but I did see one posting from someone and the baby is only 6 months

My agency did too. I was just e-mailing my social worker about my homestudy and she told me the news. She was sad that she didn't have any families in this bunch. I'll have to check the agency yahoo group. I know that in the last batch there were a number of very young little girls. Congratulations to everyone who is getting "the call" today!

Hello mom and jenn,

I am from Canada and I do not get lots of information concerning the age of the babies and the CCAA referral dates. If you can feed me info, I would really like it. This is a very tough time for us since we are LID 31/05/05 and we did not make the cut off for this referral batch. Trying to stay positive, but still it is hard. At least we know for sure that we will be in the next one. When will that be??? we just don't know.

My agency too has posted that referrals are in for LID up to May 25th. They are busy calling the proud parents right now.
I can't wait to see pictures.

I am a May 23rd LID and I am about to jump out of my skin! My agency is CCAI - does anyone know if they have been calling today? Everytime the phone rings in my office I jump!

On my agency's yahoo group 2 families have posted they received their referrals today. One baby was born May 7th and the other June 17th.

Are you on the CCAI yahoo board for May DTC families or the CCAI yahoo board? Also you can check the family section of the agency website for information.

Usually CCAI calls families a day after other agencies. If CCAI got the packets today they will spend today calling the orphanages to verify/ confirm each referral and also will spend today translating referral information. CCAI does not typically call families the day referral packets are rec'd in their office. It's tough waiting that 'extra day' but when you're called you will get more info in that phone call than most familes with other agencies.

Let us all know when you get the call. It's a very very exciting time 'referral day'!!!

Hi Jen,

I am also with the same agency you are and at the beginning of February, there was a message posted on the webboard that there were 8 May LID's, and only two came in the batch last month.

I am assuming that there is more than one family who received a referral in this batch. At least, I would hope. I have seen at least three families post that they missed the cut-off, since they were LID 5/31.

We are LID June 6, so I hope that we get our referral the next batch, but I am not keeping my hopes up.

I talked to CCAI today and they told me they will be busy all day today translating the referral information and they will contact the families tomorrow.
