To Blog or Not to Blog - posting pictures while in China
Hello Everyone,
As our referral date nears, my husband and I are trying to figure out how we can post pictures and possibly video while we are in China. And who should we use to blog, if blogging is a necessary part of the posting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Kimberlee LID 5.23.05 |

There are several different options. I originally was blogging on AOL since I am a member. Then I heard AOL is not always available in China. I found I could use AOL as long as I used MY computer...if I used a computer in China I couldn't access AOL from their online resource. So ultimately I am glad I changed to Blogger. Blogger allows you to add photos and to e-mail posts (This is good in case you can't access blogger from any given location in China...and it WILL vary.)
As for video...I know other friends of mine have video on their bloggers accounts, but not sure how they did it. Summermommy uses an outside resource which she links to, but I can't remember what it is...I'm sure if she sees this thread she'll be happy to share or you can PM her. (She's really nice.) I use my AOL webspace for video and link from their to blogger. There are other blogger systems out their...Some you have to pay for...some you can put locks and passwords on etc. Some which can be coustomized etc. |

We're using Blogger also. Its been very easy to use + its free. I think its so cool that friends & family can see & hear from us while we're in China. Plus they can put messages on the site to talk back to us.
Lissa - So you used hotel computers while in China? We really don't want to lug our laptop around...we'll have enough stuff to carry ![]() |

We brought our laptop, but in Gulin there was no internet connection in our room. I used the hotel computer once. They only had one and the lines to use it were long. Plus you had to pay to use it. I WAAAAAY preferred my laptop.
