I600A Help
I finally received my homestudy and am going to mail my I600A tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I should include a self addressed stamped envelope. I checked the website and I couldn't find any info. I will be submitting it to the NYC office. Anyone out there have any ideas???? I am not too concerned with getting it back FedEx(we are OK with being DTC some time this spring), but would love to have the tracking option.
Thanks for all your help and insight. -akina |

I sent a prepaid fed ex airbill for them to send us the 171h. After having our homestudy lost in the mail on the way TO USCIS, I didnt want to take any chances. They did send the 171h to us with the prepaid airbill. I didnt track it since I thought we would have a 10 week wait. Turns out we rec'd our 171h 6 days after they rec'd our HS.

Thanks for your reply. You are very lucky. I have not yet been fingerprinted, so I do not expect a response anywhere near as quick. Anyone know if I HAVE to send an envelope?

We didn't send an envelope. I have to give kudos to our USCIS office (Columbus, OH). We sent the I600A on 10/20, were fingerprinted on 11/3 and got I-171H on 1/4. We even got a call last week asking if we had received it and if we had any questions.
So you can send an envelope or not. I don't think it's required. |

I did not send a return envelope. We didn't have our FedEx account set up yet then so I used the USPS. There were no problems at all but I may have just been lucky. After reading about some of the problems others had, if I had it to do over again I would have used FedEx and enclosed an envelope and airbill. Like Mary, we also had a wonderful office to deal with (St. Louis). After they received our I-600 I was mailed a notice staying that they had received it and was just waiting on our HS.
