Obtaining the China Visa for Travel
When everyone went to get their Visa, what questions were asked? We were told by our agency that we should not inform them that we were traveling to adopt a child. Was anyone else told this?

No, we were not asked to withhold the fact that we were going to China for adoption. This website is for the company who we used to obtain our Visa's. You can look at the application there.

The visa application also asks for your occupation. My husband is a photographer and works for a military related magazine. Those are 2 'red flags' for the visa application (journalist and military). We did not attempt to apply on our own and used a travel company. We had to write a note / explanation as to what Guy did. What was then filled in for his occupation we still don't know. But we've gone twice with no problems to adopt our girls!

Actually, there are 3 red flags. Clergy is the other one. We will also have to write the note to go with dh's visa application stating that he is not traveling for professional reasons. We were told to say that the reason he is going is to adopt our daughter. |
