Mailing questions!

When you send something priority mail USPS, w/ self addressed paid return envelope, how do you track the return? I just realized all of my documents got to their Secretary of States office, but I won't know when they are comming back! Is there something I should different next time- so I can track the return?Also- does anyone know where I can find out the different prices for authentication? I know you can pay more to get it done quickly- but I do not remember where I saw the info. Thanks in advance- Tina

Fed EX!! I swear by them! You can enclose a prepaid airbill with your documents and they will use it to send them back. You can track it online and know exactly when they left, and when you will get them back. You can go to fedex.com and sign up for a fed ex account so you dont even have to go into the fed ex place. All you do is fill out the airbill and drop it in a drop box.

Tina, for your questions about USPS tracking, try the postal services website (usps.gov). It's really complete now and may list the answer there--if not, there are contact numbers for you to call.

In the future, I agree with Sheryl--FedEx is really a wonderful and easy service to use.

Good luck!

Christina

Unless something has changed at the USPS beginning Jan 2006, you can not track their priority mail(that's the 2-3 day delivery). Next time you would want to use their Express Mail, which is the next day service. It is trackable. To track USPS packages you go to their website as mentioned above.
As far as this package from the SOS, you will just have to estimate the time. You might be able to call the SOS office to find out when it was sent out, or if it has been sent out.
Good Luck.

Hey everyone- Thanks for the suggestions! Next time I will use FedEx- I was able to track the priority mail( but not the return envelope) I think I had to pay extra for it. I'm willing to spend just about anything to get this stuff done quickly! Thanks again! Go FED EX! Tina
