Dossier Photo Format - Suggestions?

Dossier is ready to be sent to agency - but am trying to layout my 8-10 photos...

Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this neatly (creative)?
  • Do I just paste them on page (white paper)?
  • Do they need captions?
  • Any clever ideas?
  • Colored paper?
  • Chinese characters?
Just hate being so blah...let me know your thoughts!

Thanks.

Meg

I would say check with your agency. Ours didn't require us to mount the photos at all. Some others have pretty specific instructions as to how they want the photos mounted.

Ours was plain. I bought a pack of paper at Wal-mart 150 pages in the pack. It was thick and some kind of acid free paper it was off-white in color.

I put a picture of the outside of our home. A picture of my husband and I in the living room of our house. A group soccer print of all three boys in their uniform. Each son had some type of individual shot the oldest in his high school marching band uniform, the two younger ones with dad in baseball uniforms. One picture of all five of us with our bicycles. These were obliviously things we enjoy doing.

I printed with a black marker under the mounted pictures some type of caption. For example under the bicycle picture I put something like Our family enjoys riding our bikes together. Each caption was very short and sweet and just told what the picture was and who was in it. Like I said plain and simple.

I mounted ours on black paper then pasted them on regular white computer paper that I had preprinted with captions.
The captions were required by our agency, the black mounting paper was not but made things look much cleaner. We were asked not to get to fancy, so we didn't.

Our agency said to just mount them on plain white paper. They didn't want us to use captions.
