Chinese Consulate in NYC
Hi,
I'm just wondering how long it takes on average for the Chinese Consulate in NY to authenticate documents. I express mailed our docs on 12/23 and tracked the package online so I saw that it was received on the morning of 12/24. I've been trying to track the express return envelope but it's not out there yet. Anyone know how many days it takes to authenticate docs? I'm also IMPATIENTLY waiting for I-171H. ![]() |

It took them 17 days to authenticate my documents, from the date I Fed/Ex'd them to the date I received my Fed/Ex back. But that was over Thanksgiving holidays, so maybe there was a delay there.

The consulate says that it can take up to 20 days if you mail it in.
As you can see most of the time it's alot faster than that. Good luck. How long has evryone from NJ been waiting for that elusive I171H? We waited 7 1/2 weeks from the Newark office Paul DW: Denice DTC 12-19-05 |
