Another good site is the CDC (center for disease control) I got a lot of info there when I was mis-diagnosed with hep b a few years ago.

We were just referred (at our request!) a girl with Hep B. Yes, the Hep B foundation (just google it) is a good source. also the gov. site http://www.medlineplus.com is a good source of information.

I think you are either Hep B positive or not (as far as degrees goes) but often children seem to get to the point where the virus is undetectable and also we figured by the time our Kathryn reaches adulthood (30-65 is the prime age for complications--although 75 % of people with hep b never show any serious complications!) the state of medicine might be so advanced there is a cure!

HTH,

Stephanie

Thank You Stephanie! Good Luck with you little one! I forwarded the info on to our pediatrician so hopefully he can tell us more as well.

You're welcome. Good luck! We think this is one of the more easily manageable SNs and are thrilled with our referral (she'll be one on New Year's Day!).
