Ok I mailed our I600A on 11-7, they officially received it on 11-10, and we received our official invitation to come for fingerprinting on 11-18. The earliest we are going to be able to go because of holidays and work schedules is 12-9. I expect to have our completed homestudy sometime in December. In SC, you can file your I600A and be fingerprinted without your homestudy approved.

My question is this, at what point will the USCIS begin processing our stuff for our 171H? Was it from the receipt of the I600A, or will it be when we get fingerprinted, or is it upon receipt of the homestudy? I think in SC it takes about 8-12 weeks to get your 171H and I was wondering if that was 8- 12 weeks from receipt of your initial paperwork or from the milestones I listed above?

I have just about received all our other dossier documents with the except of our passports and our homestudy that I expect to get in December. I would really like to be DTC in February, but I am afraid that the 171H is really going to hang us up!

Our stuff was all out of order as well. As we handed things in, (we live close enough to drop things off in person) it all went into the same file, and was processed according to the time the first paperwork went in.

Oh that makes me feel so much better! I was hoping that was the case, but no one puts that info on the FAQ!

If that's the case, then I may be able to meet or beat my goal!
