Robeez

One more question.....

Has anyone hear used Robeez shoes and do you like them? I am shopping later this week with my mom and I am dying to buy a few baby things. Since Robeez are sized 0-6 months and 6-12 months, I thought I might be safe getting the 6-12 month size, since that covers the age range that most people seem to get on gotcha day.

Any thoughts?

I love Nathans robeez! Could not afford to splurge, but my wonderful MIL bought them for us!

We got him the green ones with the football on them(since we call Nate our little linebacker!!)

Definately try them on before you buy! We bought the 12-18 month size and he just turned 11 months. Nate has a wide foot so the elastic around the ankle was too tight in the smaller size.

Have fun shopping!!

Kim

Love Robeez! They are very cute and everyone swears by them (don't fall off easily).
Because they are a bit on the "high-end" scale, I am waiting for my referral until I splurge so I can be sure I am getting the right size. I will say that I see them on ebay all the time and by the time you add shipping they end up being the same price as retail!

Anyway- if you haven't checked them out it is worth a google, they are very, very cute!

I saw them at a children's retail show in Atlanta a few years ago, and every once in a while they show up at a TJ Maxx or Marshalls. I want to be on the lookout! I think I will go with the 6-12 month size and if they don't fit I can auction them on ebay, they seem to move pretty good (even used ones!)

crib shoes

I bought a pair of L'il Jo's shoes for my nephew which are just like Robeez but they lasted a lot longer than the pair of Robeez that I bought for my neice (differnce between boys and girls?). Also SIL said that the leather felt softer. I bought them because they have NHL (i know most american's won't care about that) logos on them.

Robeez rock. My son wore them from the time he was 8-months (when we discovered them) until he was 18-months and walking well on his own. We never had a problem with him wearing them out...even threw them in the washing machine and air dried them.

They are a terrific choice when your child is learning to walk and soled shoes can cause them damage.

Best,
Kelley

We bought several pairs of Robeez for our 2 year old daughter and she does not like them at all.

We bought her the ones with the lady bugs, the pink ballerina, the plain lavendar and pink and at least two others that I cannot remember anymore and she did not want any of them. She prefers other types of shoes.

Since we are also adopting from China we figured we would pass the Robeez on to our soon to be Hannalee.

We love Robeez!

Even though Gwendolyn's foot is small, we bought the 12 to 18 month size. The shoe is designed so that her foot is pushed forward in the shoe and the excess is at her heel (where she can't trip over it). It's a brilliant design and one that allows us to use these shoes even though they're too big for her and she'll have many months to grow into them. A good feature when you consider the hefty pricetag!

By the way, Babies R Us has a similar shoe for half the price. So does Target.

I hope you don't mind me popping in from the Russian boards! I was wondering how these shoes are in the winter months? Grace is walking now and lives in her Robeez type shoes but I wasn't sure how warm her feet will stay in the fall/winter months?

I love them too!

I got a generous gift certificate to Buy Buy Baby from my friends at work, and bought three pair. One short Robeez, one short bobux and one higher robeez for when it's colder out. I like the bobux just as much as the robeez. My daughter was 11 months at Gotcha and just over a year now. The 12 to 18 months is best. I hope they last through the winter.

Just like slippers, I would think at they'd keep our little munchkin's feet warm indoors during the winter. I wouldn't expect they'd be very good outside where it's cold and damp.

We bought a pair of the Target brand today and they're very good. We'll see how they hold up to washing though!

LOVE our Robeez!

We love our Robeez...made here in BC!

I have a pair in each size for my oldest... she now has the biggest size for preschool. And my son is now wearing his sister's hand-me-downs and they are lasting as well. We did get him a new pair recently to have an extra.

I didn't use them as outside shoes in winter at all and only in summer when they first started walking or before they started walking. Once they were walking they needed something with thicker soles.

We'll be reusing them again when we bring our baby home from China...though she probably needs a new pair of her own...but can't decide...ladybugs, princess, dragonfly?

I think in China Ladybugs are considered good luck....

I love shoes and went a bit crazy in China - the department stores had a great selection of children's shoes.

For a peek at the shoes, take a look at the July 6th entry of this adoption blog:
