Hi All,

I have tearfully been following the blog of one of our members (kcpetty) who excitedly posted on this forum her departure for China as September 11. The information she included in her post is below:

Their daughter Gwen is very sick. She had been hospitalized for a week prior to their arrival with pneumonia. She has since returned to the hospital for severe dehydration. Thankfully, God has placed a pediatrician in their group to help them along.

I hope that all of us will pray for this family, and I invite all bloggers to post any notes of inspiration, encouragement, prayers, and the like to boost their spirits. This experience could have happened to any one of us, and I can only imagine the pain, fear, frustration, and exhaustion they must be feeling.

I just said a prayer for this family and I have checked their blog on occasion. Poor baby!!

I have been following them since before they left for China. Gwen and her parents are in my prayer dailiy. It's strange how much I feel that I know them. I just up every morning to see how Gwen is doing and check their blog throughout the day.

I think this baby has many people praying for her.

It is so sad to hear what this poor family is going though. I will keep this family in my prayers, and hope that the baby has a quick recovery.

I have been following their blog and praying for Gwen daily as well. I hope that she makes a full recovery soon--poor baby. I can't imagine how scary this whole situation has been for her parents, and for Gwen!

I well pray for you it is a difficult time for the two of you I am sure my brother is adopted I feel like adopted people are a gift from God . It was a open adoption he was my parents first child and he was 7 years old when adopted

Yes I can see why so much happiness to be had some times children become sick waiting for happiness and they give up because it doesn't show up

my brothers birth mother had him driven by cab when she decided she wanted to get rid of him to a relative with a lot of children she was pregnerant with a second child and divorced from my brothers father he didn't even know my parents when they came to get him he was scared to death

It looks like all the prayers and positive thoughts are working. They've just updated the blog and things seem to be improving and little Gwen is feeling better. Yay!

Yes, it is so exciting that the antibiotics are working!!! I have been so worried about this little girl as well as her parents, and I am overjoyed that she seems finally on the mend. Isn't God wonderful!!!
