we switched agencies

Got an email from our old agency that pretty much said- go ahead and try to get a homestudy done and if you pass that and pass INS then we will try to work with you. Needless to say, they are now our ex-agency. $200 down the drain.

Today we applied with a new agency that is in our state so they will also do our homestudy. They work in China, Guatemala and Korea and will try to find the best fit for our situation.

Thank you to everyone that was so encouraging to me with PM's. I felt like I had really researched agency #1 and I'm disappointed in them. My advice to anyone that is being given a hard time due to a past minor arrest- shop around and be upfront about it.

Good for you. I am glad you found an agency you are comfortable with.

Yes, good for you! It's hard to make that decision though, isn't it! We decided to change agencies after our first payment, so not only were we out the app fee, but we were out the first agency fee too! (Several thousand dollars!!)

BEST decision I made!

Good luck to you-

Brandy

I have the same problem with fbi clearance. My dh had quite a problem when he was younger. We don't know if we can ever adopt.
