Didn't expect this at all!!!
I have a daughter!!!
Her name is Hong Hua and she is from Guangxi Province (one of the more ethnically diverse areas of China--near Vietnam) She is 9 1/2 months old. 14 pounds, 25 inches. I am still in Alaska working (and will be for 2 more agonizing weeks). I will hopefully have a picture soon!! Lydia's finally coming home!! I am completely surprised...my agency told me just last week there was NOWAY I was getting a baby this month! So glad they were wrong!!

I was LID Jan. 27th. (I made it just by the hair on my chinny chin chin!) Seriously, I had talked to my agency on the 18th and they said NO WAY for July and to expect for August, but possibly not until Sept. So this really is totally unexpected!!

Lissa, I am so happy for you, I thought about you being in Alaska for the summer and wondered if you would be in touch to give an update!!! How's the new papa taking the unexpected news? Congratulations and I cannot wait to see your daughters picture, I am so happy for you and your husband!!!!

That is so wonderful... waiting is so hard; it is very cool when you find out- unexpectedly -- that the wait is over (well, almost). Congrats again -- and good luck to your hubby who I am guessing will be doing a lot of the traveling prep at home? Send us a pic soon! D.
