I tried to think who to ask and of course adoptive parents who else?! So, do you guys know where I can get writing tablets?? or do you have any other suggestions?? THANKS

Hi!
How great that your daughter will be learning Chinese.

We haven't needed to seek out learning materials yet, but I do remember in college that a friend who was taking a Chinese course bought her materials at the university bookstore (they had been ordered by the professor). If you have a university nearby that offers Chinese courses, that may be a resource for some items.

I've seen the writing tablets at stationary stores in Chinatown. You also might want to check out the videos/DVDs/CDs for learning chinese (my daughter loves the Mei Mei and Me videos for younger kids) to supplement the tutoring.

Hi. I don't know if I'm allowed to post a specific website here, so I'll just say that you may want to check out the website for China Sprout. They have among other things great educational tools for those who want to learn to read and write in Chinese, including writing tablets, and I do believe they have a catalog. Look within their site under "Learning Chinese" and then under "Characters"... there's a number of pages there...and what you're looking for may be toward the end. Hope this helps!
