I got my referral!
Hi everyone,
I am please to announce that we rec'd our referral today! Our new daughter's name is currently Seng An Lan. She was born on August 2nd, 2004. Her most recent height and weight is 12.79 lbs and 24.25 inches long. She is described by our agency as having chubby red cheeks, a round face, big round eyes and the perfect little mouth. She is described to be in "normal health", a deep sleeper, uses her thumb and index fingers and can hold her head up when lying on her stomach. She was fostered. I can't remember the province but will post that info along with her photo tomorrow! Hope in PA dh Clint dd soon to be Madison Ciara

I am so happy for you!!! Your wait is finally over. If you don't mind.. I think it's always un to hear what people were doing when they got the call or message. Good for you that she is a deep sleeper. If there's one thing you want when you're a new parent, after the adrenalin has cooled off a bit, it's to be able to get a good night's sleep.  I would love to se her photo!!! (But I don't know if it is allowed to share photos of children who are not legally yours yet,.... unfortunately..)

How wonderful!!! I'm very very happy for you. I'm sure you can hardly wait to be with her. Please let us know everything!! Also what are the LID's that were assigned. I'm trying to keep up with that cause I'm a big geek!!

Hi Norsk,
I don't think China has guidelines regarding posting photos like some other countries do. As soon as I get her photo tomorrow morning I'll be more than happy to post it! I actually have been forwarding my home phone to my cell phone while working (I work from home and am online 8 hours a day) because my internet answering maching wasn't working and I didn't want to miss the call in case it came. We were one of the groups that weren't sure if we would make it this month or next. I don't know what made me check my cell but I did and saw I had 2 voicemails (hadn't rec'd the tone notification yet). Well, when I saw that both were from our agency I "knew" what it was. So, I got offline, got my DH and called our family coordinator. Of course, she was on another line so we had to wait about 15 minutes for her to call back. The longest 15 minutes of my life. DH and I were sitting on our bed, the phone between us, holding hands when we were informed of our referral. It was so nice and such a surprise. Even our family coordinator was surprised that we were included in this batch! Our LID was 11/19/2004. I believe the last batch stopped at LID of 10/19/2004 or thereabouts. I think we were the last group of families from our agency that were included in this group. We got our referral too!!! just under 4 mths waiting. She's only 7 and a half mths old from the Hunan province. She weighs as of feb 2005..13.2 lbs. She looks a little like my hubby and she's got ears like mine!!! Mashimoro

Congratulations!!!!! We are in Canada, and were told by our agency that the referrals should be in by last night....but never came. We are hopeful for today. Congrats again!!
